FRONTLINE Spot On is a treatment for both cats and dogs that provides long-lasting protection against fleas and ticks, and controls biting lice.
FRONTLINE is applied externally and acts by direct contact with parasites and not via the pet's bloodstream. The pet can be handled as soon as the application site is dry. The product spreads from the site of application over the entire surface of the animal within 24 hours
FRONTLINE will protect your dog from fleas for approximately 2 months, ticks for up to one month and controls lice within 48 hours.
After these periods, pets must be re-treated to ensure they are protected. Minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
It can beapplied from 8 weeks of age.
Only use on puppies that weigh more than 2kg.
Safe to use on breeding, pregnant and lactating bitches.
FRONTLINE Spot On contains fipronil, a phenylpyrazole licensed for use as a veterinary medicine. Fipronil is not an organophosphate compound.

What classification of medicine is it?
FRONTLINE Spot On is officially classified as a NFA-VPS medicine (Non Food Animal medicine – that can be dispensed by a Veterinarian, Pharmacist, Suitably Qualified Person). These medicines need neither a clinical assessment of a pet nor a prescription.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
FRONTLINE Spot On is for the treatment of cats and dogs only and for external use only.
Veterinary advice should be sought prior to using FRONTLINESpot On if there is any sign of skin irritation or if the pet is unwell.
Do not use on sick or convalescent animals.
Do not use on kittens weighing less than 1kg or puppies weighing less than 2kg.
Minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
Do not use on puppies or kittens less than 8 weeks of age.
It is important to apply to anarea where the animal cannot lick it off. If licking occurs, a brief period of hypersalivation may occur, due to the nature of the carrier.
Do not overdose.
Pets with a known hypersensitivity to insecticides or alcohol should also avoid contact with FRONTLINE Spot On.
Avoid contact with the animal's eyes.
The product should not be used in rabbits as adverse reactions and even death could occur.
